Yeah... the open ended ending in the manga will make my go to my own Corner of Woe. I usually hate predictable endings, but I'd be damn happy if Tama x Haru does happen in the end because those two are adorable with each other.
I don't want it to be open ended, too. >< And a predictable shojo manga ending with TamaxHaru children or a wedding ... or something like the ending of episode 26 (host club anime) would make me the happiest little manga reader in the world  ... I can't wait to see chapter 61... And I hope it won't be as tragical as chapter 60... poor Tamaki  |

Okay, let me give you my predictions or rather the summary that I've found  At first everyone had thought that milord simply was quite stupid, but this changes things Honey said that Tamaki's thinkingcircuit is like a black box ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_box) Haruhi looks after Tamaki Kyouya says he's not coming. Haruhi blushes and answers "fine by me!" Hikaru is conflicted and remember the troubled Tamaki But still Hikaru says I really love you so go out with me. (To Haruhi) Then he thinks As Milord guided us I want to help him Though I don't want to give up on Haruhi so there's something I've decided.  That's what I had time to translate, I'm stressed about a test, so I'll be back in some hours

sad news here...indeed...
I've the translation of the last part of the chapter... hikaru's confession!
here it is:
basically...Hikaru is in his room on the bed, after saving the head-boy of his class.
Apparently he was sleeping, so kaoru leaves the room while he wakes up.
then haruhi thinks to go to the others and tell them hikaru is awake...
then Hikaru call Haruhi and says...
hikaru: …ハルヒ /...Haruhi
haruhi: んー？なに？ / hnn? what? <while she is busy with the cellphone for giving the news to the others>
hikaru: 僕、ハルヒの事が好き / I love you, Haruhi.
haruki: はーそりやどうもーー/ ah, thanks for that. <she isn't looking at him 'cause she's busy with the cellphone>
Haruhi turns and says
haruhi: 本気だよ? / Are you serious?
hikaru: 本気なんだけど/ I'm serious actually.
then we have hikaru's thoughts:
“殿が僕らを明るい方へ導いてくれたじょうに, 僕も殿の事を助けたい” / "I want to help/save the King in the same way he lead us throught a sunny/bright/cheerful direction"
“けどもちろんハルヒの事だって諦めたりはしたくないから” / "but surely I don't want to give up on Haruhi"
“だから決めた事がある” / "that's why, I've made/taken my decision"
so we see hikau and haruhi's face and he says:
hikaru: “好きなんだ” / Because I love you
hikaru: “僕と付き合ってくれない？” / Wouldn't you go out with me?

I'm not sad at the fact that Hikaru confessed. Well to me it's still too early for Tamaki and Haruhi to be together... but reading that has sure hurt me. Thanks for the translation!

I still have to understand how a confession to Haruhi can help Tamaki (according to Hikaru)
....
To me it seems he, as always, put himself before the others.
One thing I would add (sandy where did you find all that? I was able to find only a small small summary *_*) is that after hearing the others Hikaru indeed goes to Haruhi asking for her advice (not mentioning exactly what is the problem) and she tells him that the answer he is looking for is already in his heart.

Hikaru :Haruhi, I love you
Haruhi: oh Thank you.
XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD sorry I'm quite disappointed at Hikaru's reaction in the chapter and his decision but Haruhi's reaction was the usual priceless one XD And sorry but I think that if it was Tamaki the one saying "Haruhi, I love you" she wouldn't have answered "thank you" XP
