Chapter 77 (what will happen?)

Now, for the bittersweet part, that really made me so sad. I love Haruhi though... and I really feel that Tama's confession is on the horizon. Or Haruhi's is... I don't know but someone is/should confess soon. Well I hope so.. at least.

I hope that it's Tama's confession, because if Haruhi confessed I'd be torn between being really happy for her and wanting to whack her on the head for going back on the "I'll be the Fujioka Haruhi who didn't know Tamaki senpai"... particularly because she's doing it for his sake. I hope that knowing that Haruhi is supporting him by not getting in his way (if that makes sense) will give Tamaki the strength to overcome this milestone and then confess to Haruhi that he loves her.

I doubt this will happen in one chapter though. =(

I seriously thought that was what she was doing when everyone in the classroom was freaking out at Kaoru and Hikaru. I was like, She told them, SHE TOLD THEM! But she didn't. I was more surprised by what she was wearing, really.

Even though I knew it was coming, the last words of the chapter made me tear up even more after Haruhi's part <3 Damn bittersweet endings!!! Although Haruhi was fantastic in this chapter.

I loved the previous chapter. I thought it was brilliant.
You know how when people graduate, they limit their relationships and friendships to the school or college or whatever place they met in? Host Club's bonds go beyond that. It doesn't matter where host club members are and what they're doing, they'll still be friends and lovers whether they're doing host club activities or not.
I loved how Haruhi blushed when Tamaki patted on her head. I felt Tamaki was going to cry. He looked like he was on the verge of tears after he heard what she said.

Tamaki having a normal conversation with his grand mother... I was like, at least she talks to him. If anyone's feelings going to change in this manga then it's grand mother's.

I think Hikaru said he was kidding when he thought about pursuing Haruhi. Of course he is. He's a nice guy, he wouldn't do it and then he's not that desperate. But he truely loved her and such feeling can't be fogotten in days.

Kousaka doesn't believe in love. She thought" Oh man, this kid doesn't wanna leave ouran because of that guy Tamaki" It's not like Haruhi is ditching her priorities and going after boys and parties and stuff. She was giving a lecture like those in correctional programs... as if the kid is on drugs and pregnant and she needs to be put on the right track. Building future is important and all but having relationships and maintaining them is as important. I'm over-thinking this.

Yeah so I liked it. Many meaningful stuff in that chapter.

Oh and I think Yuzuru thinks Tamaki could change his mother. I don't think he's a bad guy at all.

Aww, Kousaka!! I found it funny how she was shocked Ryouji was now more beautiful than her xD Great to know more about her past and why she's so obsessed with money (the offering of the fish sausages was funny too xD) I wonder if Haruhi figured out that she was talking about her dad..she probs did - maybe she'll tell her dad and some meeting will occur between Kousaka and him..?

I also loved Hikaru in this Chapter <3

I don't think that we'll get a confession until Tamaki is recognised as the Suoh heir - Haruhi just said that she was going back to her old self, so obviously they won't have much contact..until Tamaki achieves his family goals first. Maybe I'm wrong (logic overriding my fangirl  )

So now that  Haruhi's not talking with Tamaki, the HC has disbanded and she's paid off her debt..do you think that Haruhi still might accept the America offer? There's not that much keeping her here, and I think she still does want to follow Tamaki's earlier advice and keep having new experiences...

I wonder what information Kyouya and Kaoru will unveil at the meeting. Hopefully it will lead to another story arc.

Or do we (as audience) already know everything they know? Nah, acutally, maybe they've done more research since we last heard from them..hopefully

speaking of mei we hadnt heard and seen her in a long time. Also remember next month is the holidays and in the past couple holiday seasons we kinda got a "present" from hatori - last year, 2008, chapter 67 in which tamaki admits he loves haruhi and 2007, was when haruhi realized feelings for tamaki.

At least that was way how i saw it and someone else mentioned something of the sort last holiday season.

Yes, hopefully Mei will come up soon! And that next month's chapter will be a great one! (even if it's not a TamaHaru one, although it'd be great if it was! As long as it's not sad/cliffhanger..)

I'm so glad that the manga isn't following the anime's path - it worked in the anime but I think the introduction of a love rival for Haruhi now would be really cheesy and lame

Um, now after seeing this all, I really can't wait for the next one! Even without Mei, a TamaHaru moment could come up easily now. I also hope Tamaki finds some kind of topic that manages to break through Grandma's defenses - like I said on another thread, whenever he tries to talk to her about something that isn't school/Suoh business, she usually a)ignores him; b)walks away; c)changes the subject.

Now, I went through a few manga/anime and other series, so I really, really, really hope ONE thing doesn't happen: something like Haruhi waking up and realizing she dreamt everything or something alike. NO!

But I'm pretty sure Hatori won't go for that "solution"; she's better than that.

At least this ending means that the manga might not wrap up as soon as some people had guessed. I'd be happy with another few arcs

Yeah I would like another few arcs too. But I'm not so sure this one's all wrapped up yet, I think it will be after the next chappie though with the meeting and all. I want so many things to happen in the next chapter (romantic moment heehee, Anne Sophie talks, find out more about the cryptic conversation with Yuzuru, and Mei!) that I know it can't all happen in the next chapter. But I do hope that we find out about the yuzuru/tama convo, I have a feeloing it relates to Anne Sophie. *crosses fingers*

I agree. I already think that she's not as bad as many people make her out to be. She may do many harsh things, but I don't think she's that much of a bad apple. Circumstances make people do all sorts of crazy things.

That being said, grandma Suou needs to have a change of heart, or something like that. I think she needs a hug. I'm interested in seeing what Tamaki can do to get through to her, and maybe have her see eye-to-eye with him.

I completely agree. I've always thought that, considering the values granny Suoh grew up with, the way she looks at Tamaki and his situation makes some sense. But still, I think Tamaki will knock some sense into her somehow, and soon. ^_^

I really like this last chapter. I especially like Hikaru because it shows how grown up he's gotten.   
I even sort of have less hate for evil granny because well I kinda feel sort of sorry for her since her husband died and all and she was all alone.  I hope Tamaki can make her become less bitter and a little bit more happy. ^^

I loved this chapter too, and I agree that Hikaru getting more mature was one of the best moments.

However... I began thinking about one thing: remember Tamaki's "decision"? (Volume 12) I think it wasn't only about moving to the main mansion, becoming heir to the Suoh business or getting Grandmother to understand. It was probably one of these, but through a more... intricate plan, maybe. One involving Anne-Sophie for sure. Before these latest chapters, I used to think it was something like Tamaki refusing to the Suoh business and setting off for France or similar, but, since he's so happy-go-lucky and affectionate with Grandma and wants her to understand, it can't be that. And I bet Hatori-sensei will surprise us again

Yeah, I think it's got something to do with Anne-Sophie as well - but I think it's more on Yuzuru's side, not Tamaki..

But at the beginning of Chp 76, Yuzuru said something like "other people are relying on you too", and Tamaki looked a little shocked..so maybe he realised that he's sort of helping his mum somehow?

yeah i agree. I am sure w have not seen the last of Anne-Sophie yet. Surely one of the reasons Tamaki is doing this is for his mother's benefits too...I hope they meet soon  ^_^ so it would be a nice renunion
